Because Many LOA Folks Have Inquired…

Many people who’ve expressed interest in Why Quantum Physicists Don’t Get Fat also are interested in the law of attraction (because there is a lot of similarity and overlap between the two).

If this describes you, please let me introduce you to two very good friends of mine.

Laura Gevanter (Twitter handle: @Lauragev) is the founder of Present Tense Coaching, is a Law of Attraction Coach, and the radio host of Life in The Present Tense.  (Hint…I’m going to be on Laura’s radio show on September 5th at 3 PM)

Matthew David O’Grady (Twitter handle: @MatthewDOGrady) is a  Law of Attraction Business Coach who teaches how to expand your business and your life, motivating, inspiring and creating positive results.  (Hint…I was a guest on Matt’s radio program, The Matt and Phil LOA Show.)

These two amazing teachers have formed a Law of Attraction Mastermind Program that I’m very fond of and highly recommend to anyone who studies or reads about the law of attraction.

Please check it out with.

How Arnold Schwarzenneger Became a Weight-Loss Guru with One Simple Statement

When you move your body, what do you think about?

Does that sound like a silly question?  Maybe you’ve never thought about such a concept.  Yet, if you’re not purposely thinking the right thoughts, you’re wasting a precious opportunity.

Quantum physics tells us that the outer world (what we see) is created by our inner world (how we feel).  (Click that link to Tweet it) What we believe is what we see and what we focus on is what we get more of.  So, given that knowledge, doesn’t it make sense that if you focus on the right things when you’re moving, you’ll see better results?

Why “I’ll Be Back” Should Be The Title of Arnold’s Self-Help Book

Arnold Schwarzenegger, when he was winning “Mr. Olympia” world titles, said that people who want to grow their muscles should be flexing them at all times.  I believe Schwarzenegger was unwittingly making reference to the quantum concept that what we focus on grows.  I realize that, logically, his statement can be explained by saying that if you flex your muscles their fibers will be stretched as they fill with blood – which will make them grow.  That is the physical explanation, and, yet, the quantum explanation also applies.

You’ve probably never thought of Arnold Schwarzenegger as a quantum physics expert, yet I suggest you take Arnold’s suggestion to heart. (Click that link to Tweet it) Because, as I’ve explained, he is correct in more ways than one.

How to Coax and Encourage Your Muscles for Maximum Efficiency

When you are moving your body, focus on the muscles you’re using.  Your hamstrings, your thighs, your calves, your buttocks, etc. are all working – focus on them and flex them as you move.  Imagine them growing stronger as you use them and they will.

The same goes for your abdominal muscles, your chest, your shoulders, your biceps, your forearms, and so on.  Flex them when you use them.  Focus on them.  Imagine them growing stronger with use.

And don’t just focus on them and flex them; send loving encouraging thoughts to them.  Literally.

Why You Aren’t a Machine and Should Never Treat Your Body Like It’s Broken

Remember that your body is not a machine; holism has replaced the machine paradigm.  We now know that your body’s systems (like your muscles) are more like independent entities, free-agents if you will, who are all voluntarily cooperating to make the larger unit (the total, physical “you”) work.  So don’t ever scold your muscles or berate them with your thoughts – love them, uplift them, and encourage them with your thoughts. (Click that link to Tweet it)

In addition to focusing on them and flexing them.

This concept, by the way, applies to simply walking to your office, walking up the stairs in your home, carrying in your groceries, vacuuming your home, etc.  Just as much as when you’re walking, jogging, lifting weights, or doing any other type of workout.

What Happens If You Try These Techniques Today?

These techniques, remember, are based on hard, scientific data.  Not it- sounds-good, I-hope-it-works philosophy.  And, since you’re going to be walking, lifting things, and otherwise using your muscles all day, every day, anyway – why not try it and see what happens?

I can tell you what you’ll find.  Your body will improve through the process (for many reasons).  I guarantee it.

The Other Reason I’m Translating My Book From “English” to “Meow”

This is our other cat, Justice.  He is not quite as big as Katie.

But, as you can see, Justice is not big on being active (he actually sits like this, of his own accord, all the time).

I’m hoping that he can read my book, once it’s translated.

What do you think?  Does Justice need help?

How Mirrors Lie to You Every Day and Why You Should Stop Looking in Them if You Want to Lose Unwanted Weight

What do you see when you look in the mirror?

Do you see a beautiful woman (or man) with a beautiful body which has the proportions you desire?

Or do you see a “fat” person, with a “fat” body which is ugly?

What Good is a Mirror, Really?  If You Have Unwanted Weight, That Is

If you have unwanted weight, I’ll bet that most of the time it’s the later.  I know; I’ve been there too.

So my knowledge of quantum physics leads me to ask you this very important question:  “Why do you look in the mirror?”

Wait a Minute?  Doesn’t a Mirror Just Reflect “The Way Things Really Are”?

If you are reading my blog, you already know that there is no such thing as subjective reality.  There is no such thing as “the way things are.”  You create the way things are with your observations (and, more importantly, your expectations – which are derived from your beliefs).  Your beliefs create expectations, which you then use to command the sub-atomic particles of the universe to form a “fat” and “ugly” body when you look in the mirror!

Does that sound unreal?  Crazy?  I’ll grant you that.  But, crazy as it sounds, what I just wrote is actually how our universe works!  It is not science-fiction, nor is it some philosophy that may or may not apply to you.

You are creating your universe (and your body) each moment of every single day.  In the manner I just described.  You couldn’t stop doing it if you tried!

So, if looking in the mirror continually produces a “fat” and/or “ugly” body – stop doing it!  Seriously.  Just stop.

What Does a Doctor Tell You About Doing Something That Hurts?  Until It’s “Fixed” – Stop Doing It!

In fact, if you feel bad about your unwanted weight, don’t ever look in the mirror again unless you truly are feeling good about your body (and yourself) in that moment.

And if you accidentally fall back into old habits, and catch yourself looking in the mirror and seeing a “fat” and “ugly” person, stop what you’re doing and look away.  Then remind yourself that your outer world (the reality you’re seeing) is merely a reflection of your inner world (the way you’re feeling).

And give yourself a break, realizing that you must have been thinking some old thought patterns (as we all do from time to time) before you looked in the mirror.  You were only seeing, after all, what you were feeling.

Until your new reality is “I am thin” do not use a mirror to “confirm” how you look – because you won’t see “thin”.  There is no way around this, so just don’t do it.

And make sure you are reading (or re-reading) Why Quantum Physicists Don’t Get Fat to build your new, “I am thin” beliefs.  Before long you will be able to look in that mirror and love what you see!  I guarantee it.

How to Become the Best Boss Your Body Ever Had and Lose More Weight in the Process

Do you treat your body parts like employees?  Do you expect them to perform their “functions” and berate them when they don’t?  Treating them like employees who are expected to do their “jobs” and getting angry at them (or about them) when they don’t?

I Used to Be an Angry Boss Too!

Weird question?  But stop for a moment and think about the messages you send to the different parts of your body.

For example: How often do you find yourself chastising your stomach when you look in the mirror?  Do you ever find yourself nagging your leg muscles when you go for a walk or jog because they start hurting?  Ever berate your brain for your lack of will power after you surrender to a late-night snacking urge?

Honestly reflecting on these messages is important.  Because the “you” who communicates with your body parts is, of course, the non-physical you.  And sending messages to your different body parts (your brain, your muscles, your digestive system, your stomach, your abdominal area, etc.) that are anything but nurturing, uplifting, loving, and grateful is a huge mistake!

And an enormous missed opportunity too!

Why Your “Employees” Aren’t Listening to You When You Yell At Them

Why?  Because quantum physics has taught us that holism replaces the machine paradigm.  We now know that your body’s different components are not part of a larger machine (the larger “you”).  This includes your physical brain, by the way; your brain is not “who you are”, it is merely a physical tool of the non-physical “you”.  Just like your heart, lungs, muscles, etc.

We now know that your body’s different parts are, literally, a collection of free-agents who are voluntarily cooperating to make “you” function.  In fact, science cannot yet explain why they are volunteering like this.  As bizarre as this sounds, it is actually true.

There is ample research which shows us, definitively, that all of your body’s parts and systems are operating independently and many of them may even have their own consciousness – separate from the larger consciousness of “you” (your non-physical energy).

Put Yourself in Your Body Parts’ Place and Employ the Golden Rule

So recall a time when you volunteered to help someone or some organization.  How would you have felt if the volunteer coordinator, the person in charge of your efforts, never thanked or praised you for your efforts?  Worse still, what if that person actively berated or belittled you for your efforts – chastising you and repeatedly telling you that you weren’t doing well enough!

Would you ever return to help that person or that organization?  Of course not!  You’d find something else to do with your valuable time.  Something else where your efforts and good intentions were actually appreciated.

Just imagine, then, how your body’s different parts must feel when you treat them like that.

But let’s say, hypothetically, that you were volunteering for someone and weren’t doing a good job or what was expected of you.  What would be the best way for the person in charge to handle this?  Yell at you?  Treat you with disrespect?  Chastise you as if your poor performance was being done on purpose?

Of course not!

How to Broker a New Contract With Your Body and Get Everyone Cooperating in Concert

The best way for the person in charge to address your less than expected performance would be addressing your, first and foremost, with respect.  You are volunteering yourself after all!  Then that person should approach you in a kind manner and gently educate you regarding what she wants you to do – treating you like someone who is good and wants to be more effective.

So take my recommendation.  Start treating your body’s systems like you’d want to be treated in a volunteering situation.  What do you have to lose?  Your body’s parts are volunteering to help the larger “you”, after all (and this is true whether you know it or not – and even whether you believe it or not).  And, additionally, you’re communicating with your body’s parts every day anyway?  Why wouldn’t you try doing it in a loving, nurturing, encouraging and grateful way?
